Are you into the hobby yourself.....? Show us some of your work.

I don't do any myself, I attempted to tan a deer hide but unfortunately it was in summer and I put it off too long and it went a bit smelly! ?

However I do appreciate good taxidermy when I see it, it's always intrigued me but I don't think I'll be getting into it. My little town house isn't set up for any road kill disections the neighbours think I'm weird as it is will all the bits and bobs I bring home ??.

I was given this roe skull from the same man that have me the deer skin.

I'd like to mount it but I'm unsure on how to cut the jaw bone off or even where abouts to cut so I lies flat on a sheild.

I'm not sure how the guy gets the flesh off these skulls but it doesn't look as though it's been bleached? Could be wrong but it's got some dark pigment inside the skull so I'd ideally like to bleach it before hand but I saw a comment somewhere saying that a older dried out skull won't bleach as well as a fresh one?

Didn't want to mess it up so I have just left it as it is until i did some more research.

Never use bleach, you will soften the bone and destroy it,use peroxide

Always though they were the same thing but thanks for that

Try dying your hair with bleach and find out ........
