What's The Best Bushing Dog For Rabbits And Foxes?

Hi Guys,

 

I have a 3 year old lurcher who I do plenty of work with. I really want to find a good bushing dog for flushing out rabbits and foxes. What is the best all rounder for this sort of thing?

 

I guess some sort of terrier maybe? open to suggestions........... Cheers!

a good working cocker ,they go in any cover and bolt out what ever in there , good with a gun or with lurcher .

yeh i like springer , a good strong male can be excellent on land and water , and great bushing dogs as well they need alot of work what ever they do

i got a small springer bitch fantastic dog no respect for bramble at all great in the water aswell she lives for work.

depends on the land you are working as well

 

for what type of dog you need try and get to see a few different xs work

 

down here a beagle x dont suit me the spaniel xs are perfect to the land i work

 

a terrier is a no go to many big sets they can drop down

 

BUT like any bred theirs good and bad so look at coat drive temperament( no fighting over game ) size and color
