I seen plenty sealyham Russell with infused bull blood but have not seen straight bull Russell's in years , t.k in cork was probly last man I seen with a few

They're was a few men around years ago in my area that kept a few but got into black dogs and let the Russell'types slip

Seen two at birr game fair they were about ten months looked like they will be handy dogs when older.

Seen a couple bull russels years ago.

Gassy as feck. And these particular ones where dog grabbers.

They would of been better dogs without the bull imo. They got job done. Lad dug with abit with them.

They can't bring anything to the table that a good Fell terrier can't.

Years ago here in Ireland they filled the void that the Fell terrier now fills.

Yes, the Cork terriers have Russell and Bull in them but are they what would be called a bull X russell ?

But, as I've said before, one of the most useful terriers I've ever seen was a staff cross russell who accounted for 200 + head of game a year for a few years (before a useless lurcher killed him.) but that was back in the day when good staffs and good russells could be found.

Could it be done as easy nowadays ?

That's what I'm saying Neil ,the Russell bull types went out the door when the fells took over, cork lines aren't what you'd call bull Russell
