Hi try a long drill bit turning quietly or wire shotgun pull through best of luck

You could try to get hold of it by using on of these probes:   https://www.amazon.co.uk/Piece-Stainless-Steel-Dental-Set/dp/B0015V3050   You should try one of the smallest ones, otherwise it won't

If that doesn't work you could try a vacuum cleaner and blocking one of the holes the moderator, could work.

How big is this patch? 1 inch or 2 inch square?

If it is now completely invisible along the line of sight, perhaps it won't cause any further problems for you.

It should get carbonated by the shots going through the moderator and be stuck to the side somewhere.

Just a thought before you melt your moderator with meths :whistling:

It's the little boy on me, I love a fire!

Remember though that meths, as it evaporates quickly, does not burn very hot. Think wetting your finger with it then lighting your finger, it doesn't burn you. It would only be the burning patch that would cause heat and that could be mitigated with, as I suggested, water poured slowly over the outside.

You might try using compressed air from a long nozzle to charge each compartment to blow it on centre again then follow up with the old trick.

Remember the .303 Pull Troughs.

Usually someone would cut to big a patch and get it stuck followed by a big heave-ho resulting in a broken off P, trough added to the bargain.

Practice then was a wire or welding rod heated on gas stove etc. to burn it out.

Only applies heat to the patch and wont cook anything else.

Better than turning using meths and lighting, cooking everything else if you overdo it or turning it into a rocket.
