The Worlds Gone Mad.

Recommended Posts

What the heck are people thinking about. Totally mad in my humble opinion. HOWEVER. I may have a few available for the £250.00 mark as they are better than the Scottish ones. Any takers?lol. Jok.

No the world hasn't gone mad, just some people have gone mad over a designer pet that was caused by inbreeding.

Angoras are pretty much useless, yeah they're cute and fluffy (for those wanting just a pet), don't smell as bad due to lack of undercoat and sometimes one will be an okay worker but generally:

They have no undercoat so don't cope with the cold winter weather as well.

They have 4 nostrils and often have clef pallets.

They don't have much of a prey drive as a standard ferret.

They're bigger in both length and broadness so they're often too big for ferreting.

They don't live as long.

There's more health issues with an angora ferret.

Most are high percentage inbred.

The angora jills can't lactate to feed their own offspring so a substitute mother is always needed to raise the kits.

There's more negatives to them than positives.

Standard ferrets can be pedigreed as well but even if they are, they still cost nowhere near the amount as an angora would.
