shropshire dan 467
Hi all. I'm not renewing my shotgun licence but would like a fac shotgun Togo on my firearms licence. What would be the best reason for having a fac shotgun over a normal shotgun. Thanks in advance Kind regards Dan Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
If you read the H.O guidance on it, they have to be for avian vermin control as the initial good reason, then once that is established, they tag on the other stuff after. They can't be for mammal first then avian after, if that makes sense. Mine was conditioned for "avian pest species" and AOLQ. Looking cool was just an added bonus. Quote Link to post

shropshire dan 467
Thanks lads. It literally is only for ferel pigeon, pigeon and crow. Quote Link to post
David Aiken 253
Thanks lads. It literally is only for feral pigeon, pigeon and crow. If you are unlucky FEO will check the level of quarry, if they turn up on a lean quarry day it can affect your chance of a FAC Quote Link to post

Some clay grounds won't allow a section 1. Some quarry can't be shot with a section 1. I would keep the SGC going, even if you don't want to own a section 2 at the moment. Quote Link to post
shropshire dan 467
Thanks David. I'll probably just renew the sgc Quote Link to post
walshie 2,804
You can't lend a S1 shotgun at all, let alone easily. Or just get a pump action S1 and there are no restrictions on what you can shoot with it. Quote Link to post

shropshire dan 467
Thanks mate. I had a beautiful 870 wingmaster 12g but sold it only to regret within an hour lol. So has to be another 870 maybe more of a tactical style being if I get fac if not I'll go for another wingmaster for sure 1 Quote Link to post
