didnt you know? stickers make it go faster   it sort of goes with the super reg that improooooves performance, 20 xtra shots, ermmmm then it gets chrono'd at 9 fp's lol!!

I've found Tinbum kits to be good and priced well.

I think vortek do some too.   A kit with a bespoke spring guide and tophat to the spring you are fitting is loads better than just buying a spring guide and tophat that are supposed to fit IME.

asides from V mach spring, guide, and piston cap, what else is about today?

Lots mate. Every man and his shed is a tuner :)

V-Mach

TbT

Paul Short

Nick Gibney

Sandwell

Ratwork

To name a few... They all pretty much consist of the same process. With perhaps small differences that they can say is theres.

The most experimental could be Paul with his lathe.

On a TX, how difficult is fitting the kits because I am not the best at this sort of thing and I would like to smooth out my .177, do they come with instructions.

Phil

They're really easy to do Phil

All you need to do is take the scope and stock off. Then, holding the rifle by the barrel and underlever, put the back (trigger unit) onto something firm (with a cloth to protect the rifle) and push down a little. Then you should be able to loosen and remove the retaining bolt with your fingers.

Then, the trigger unit, spring and piston can slide out.

Nick (Tinbum) has done a YouTube video of this somewhere.

I bought his TX200 MaxiPro kit. It comes with the short stroke extension, delrin top hat, spring guide, preload washers, spring grease and moly paste.

He does include some pretty good instructions.

The hardest part for me was removing the AA piston seal.

The short stroke extension attaches to the end of the piston with 3 grub screws.

It's an easy kit to fit and, the rifle goes back together very easily - no need for a spring compressor.

In my experience, it only smoothes the rifle out very slightly.

But, it does give a quicker shot cycle - not snappy but, it is quicker. Personally, I like that.

Give it a go mate

If you get stuck, I'll pm you my number and we can talk it through.
