Nik_B 3,790
Who's behind trying to get rid of Gill? I don't care what he may have said he is a great guy and if the red Kippers want to remove him then they'll go without my money. Same if they give that traitor Carswell or Evans anything other than being shown the door.

However, that said, this is also the very best time for Ukip to surge forward, if they can get their act together.... If there was going to be a problem with Wolfe's background this should have been brought up a long time ago. ..... maybe Farage is going to have to step in and sort things out? who knows eh?

Couldn't have put it better myself this is probably the least damaging time for it to happen while the press and public are distracted by Labour and the infighting that you know will be kicking off in the Conservatives once Brexit negotiations start but it's also a time when they really should be taking advantage of the post-Brexit boost in support and Labour being in disarray. Seems this is down to Woolfe's plans to go after Labour on economic policy, something that won't appeal to a lot of the old UKIP guard.
BGD 6,384
This is going to get seriously bitter.. Arron Banks, UKIP’s largest donor, says he will call an Extraordinary General Meeting to effectively abolish the NEC and reshape the party’s entire structure. Banks says Woolfe is the victim of a “coup” attempt by allies of Neil Hamilton. Raheem Kassam, Farage’s former chief aide, threatens:“If Steven Woolfe is kept off the ballot for spurious reasons, I will declare full scale war on UKIP, using all the assets and sources at my disposal to topple the Tory establishment that is trying to take over the party. That’s a warning and a promise.” http://order-order.com/2016/08/03/faragists-vow-declare-war-ukip/

BGD 6,384
It was a real short-sighted move letting Tory MPs in UKIP/Tory marginals cross the floor and stand for UKIP IMO. They gained their only MPs (then lost one of them straight away) which doesn't really mean much anyway when they've only got the one but all they've brought to the party is disharmony.. Kick the Tories out and get back to a grassroots movement building on the momentum already generated and then in 2020 they'll have a few real UKIP MPs in parliament not a lone Tory in a purple rosette. BGD 6,384
So it's Diane James then, will she be able to reverse the collapse in the polls UKIP has gone through since the referendum? She's certainly got her work cut out for her. She's not exactly the most charismatic person. http://news.sky.com/story/the-full-story-behind-the-rise-of-diane-james-ukips-new-leader-10580026
walshie 2,804
Diane James has resigned. 18 days and she doesn't like it. Pathetic.
