I dont think the car is 1967   It has oval side lights like mine did these were on the 1962 / 63 / 64................i may be wrong its been several years since i messed on with classic motors  

The purist are going to hate me but Put a real engine in it and lowered on some nice alloys and just a clear lacquer over the existing paint and you would have a very distinctive and desirable motor

Will you be able to store it?

Can you allocate a regular day for spending time on it?

The hardest part is starting though.

 

It is all achievable but if this is your first restoration, it may be worth seeing how much they go for when finished.

 

A restoration is a big commitment on time and money, but mainly time.

 

And a destroyer of relationships

just stick a battery on it . :thumbs:

I would say your biggest problem would be rust get under it with a chipping hammer a see what is metal and what is holes if you are a sheet metal worker than not so much of a problem . labour costs !

Have a look and see if its had any welding under the bonnet to the suspention struts

 

There used to be a scrap yard in Nelson Yorkshire that dealt in Mk1 and Mk2 spares...not sure if its still there

 

This was mine that i sold sold a few years ago
