I have absolutely no idea what im looking at but these are some great pictures its fascinating to see the variation in these little creatures im curious to do a bit of research into them but i was under the impression that only serial killers kept moths and butterflies :D

Feeding time........

 

Fantastic.....................sadly we don't have them over here.....................or the Purple Emperor , now there's a Butterfly I'd love to see.

I'd like to breed Purple Emperors...but I fear they are far, far beyond my expertise.....There's maybe only one or two people in the Uk that have ever bred them....Amazing butterfly it is!
What do you do with the ones you breed JD, release them out in your garden ?

It said so in the film...BUT....when you look at the pupa in the film it is not a DHH....... :victory:

One of my fave pics. I truly love the Peacock......I find it amazing how those brilliant and vibrant colours can be made simply buy eating the stinging nettle!! A miracle really.......As it happens, the plant that the peacocks sat on is much, much rarer than the butterfly.... :victory:
