Yes it’s the size that tells them apart, and goshawks are generally found in heavily wooded areas.

Nice one Chev... Cracking bird, we’ve had a small influx of them here in the Northeast, hoping to catch up with some if I can get some time...

I saw a good sized flock of them about five winters ago when the snow was here they were sitting in a low tree in someone's garden, I thought they'd escaped from an aviary, exotic looking birds, didn't realise what they were at first

the missus thought the same  having not seen one before
