Hello folks can anyone tell me if the arrow indicators are to be followed and accurate or do you just rely on counting the numbers down . Im trying to get to grips with mine sometimes i go from a low number to high number i have it in meters . I think i must not be using it properly

Forget the arrows mate they are a load of shit just go on the decreasing numbers.

I found mine a lot easier working in feet but it's what I was used too any way and I found it a lot less jumpy then it was in metres the numbers tend too work better in feet give it a try might help

Funny I found the opposite. Mine came in feet when I got it and couldn't get on with it so switched to meters and I find its less jumpy.

Each to there own I suppose.

You'll only get an accurate reading when both the collar and box are stationary, when I've got a terrier in ground I just turn the box on a leave it in one spot until the numbers stop moving (or are only moving slightly)then move the box slowly in the direction that the numbers decrease, its no good trying to follow a moving terrier the reading will be all over the place.

As above.. I use metres.. When numbers stop changing go find the dog...

Move your body round till you get the middle arrow flashing then walk that way watching the numbers making sure they are reducing, if they're going up turn around 180 degrees and walk that way, the more you use it the easier it will come.

How do you switch to feet? I've tried moving magnet across box as it describes within the time after turning on but nothing happens.

The arrows are only supposed to work down to six feet then follow the numbers but I just follow the numbers don't really take any notice of the arrows

Put it on the floor and wait for the numbers to stop jumping around. Then move it in the direction of the arrows a metre or so and put it on the floor, if the numbers decreased carry on in that direction, if it increased turn the box 180 degrees and follow the arrows. You cant flick the box around like the knocker box, you have to move it the place it on the ground for an accurate reading.
