TC This referendum doesn't have anything to do with the ECHR. We'll still be signed up to it even after Brexit. It's entirely seperate to the EU. After reading the comments of a former MI6 Director that suggested otherwise I had a quick google into this myself. Although you are correct that the ECHR is a separate entity, being a signatory to it is a condition for EU membership. Furthermore I believe that the EU itself is now able to sign up to the ECHR as though it was a nation state, whereas before it couldn't because it was not considered such.
