Don't forget rolling in fox/badger shit with special attention to collar buckles   Cheers, D.

In my personal current experience there are 2 "types" The first being roughly 23kg bundle of "I'll kill what I can when I can" The second roughly 20kg of "I'll kill what he's killing but make far le

A lurcher a cur of unknown breeding , Usually several crosses that throw a wide spectrum of dogs varying in coat, height and colour and ability. One thing they invariably have in common are owners tha

This old chestnut has been going for years. Everyone has their own definition of what constitutes a lurcher or a longdog. Mine is a non running dog crossed with a running dog is a lurcher. Two running dogs crossed is a longdog. I know it seems simple but what do you call a collie x grey mated to a whippet or saluki x grey? What happens when the collie, bedlington what ever, blood gets even more diluted, is it still a lurcher then?

Food for thought.

A dog that can regularly catch any prey it's pointed at day and night.

That retrieves catches it is capable of carrying undamaged.

Has tremendous stamina.

Is quiet in kennel, is rarely injured and is good with other dogs and people.

Is loyal-doesn't bother with

anybody but it's owner.

Is a good guard.

Will work with long nets and purse nets.

Will retrieve anything even from water.

Has a good jacket.

Always does its best.

Just like mine----not :cray:

Bit of a thread hijacking here but my question is in the same vein..... When does a bullx stop becoming a bullx?

Matt

my best guess would be when the dog starts being referred to as a lurcher with a touch of bull eg... "It's a colliex grey deerhound with a touch of bull going way back " . There is bull there but I reckon ide stop calling it a bull x after 1/8 bull. I know people could pick holes in that logic but it's only a personal opinion rather than a definitive answer
