Tried most of them amber is pretty good filters the light but still bright enough. Red is ok but with my eyes it's crap lol. Blue is also good.

 

Also with blue you can have some fun with motorists or shaggers on the way home. Lol

At the end of the day gentleman your going to lamp the field on full power anyway so why wast your time scanner with the dull red beam do you ever realise how many rabbits you'll miss

never thought about that before might be a good idea that drill a wee hole in the reflectre and wire it into the 12v system the same way the clu light is with its own switch any one good with electrics that could put up a diagram of it

It's down to the indervidial but dimmed right down you can still see what's about so can the dog

i like the red filter on the 150 led proper poachers lamp. just bright enough to run stuff on but not advertise to the whole county your out

I have a lamp that has red blue green and white leds,but it isn't quite good enough.

All the colours are on one led.

If they could do it with the red and white and keep the power it would be perfect.maybe do a bigger reflector as well for an option. But keep the battery in the handle just make it so you an change it.

always use the red filter,quick flash and see where the game is at with out spooking

They should do a filter like them flip up scope covers that open at the press of a button.

Another reason i started using filters back in the day was that they aint as obvious as white when scanning hot spots. It simply doesn't cast as far and i'd rather only use the white to run stuff.
