I've always got this since nearly day one when it was the old shooting new but it's been getting worse and worse and the letters are that stupid they must be made up by the editor and staff now the photos the folk that want there dugs publish reading the mag etc must of been dropped on there head by there mum when they where small ?

used to get it every week for years,prior to that it was the shooing news,which was full of great articles by true working dog men except for plummers weekly lies,stopped getting it when it started to fill up with political crap,micky mouse hunters and the same repetive shite being written year in and year out,becoming more of a comic every week a waste of money,just get ed/rd magazine now which is good value and a good read.

I stopped buying it for that reason getting crapper every week.now i flick through when out shopping and if its worth a read i will buy that one.

I think the same can be said of most shooting/hunting mags. If you keep last years or the year before, or the year before, you'll be reading the same editorial. Pigeon decoying, driven pheasant, dog training, lurches and rabbiting. Same old. Mind you, it must be fairly hard to get new material don't you think.

Don't read it much more than a few a year ish but aside from the readers letters and predictable dogs reading an issue pics I think it's an ok read,maybe you've seen too many and with the sport being restricted so much its affected the content to a degree??

its what it is, content as far as dogs are concerned is limited by the hunting act, any field-sport publication that is still managing to survive in today's anti field sport climate deserves to be supported what ever you may think, the other option is to loose more to those who would see us and our way of life resigned to the history books.

well over 20 years maybe 25 i had it as a teenager and I am 46
