The Christmas Goose Arrives Late

Recommended Posts

With all the flood water it has been great shooting where i am. This particular bit only floods well once every couple of years but always attracts good numbers of geese and duck. We have had a few outings and nailed a few. Saturday saw us up early doors and waiting for the birds to move.

I always love the sound of cock wigeon, a duck not normally associated with these parts and a big pack of maybe 50 plus were on a field just behind us. Anyway a few geese moved and i driopped one which my small dog reluctantly brought back
