Had a run out last night we used both lamps side by side, at the same distance, the same spot. There is no difference in brightness from using a bigger battery. We only got three last night but were o

bosun,if you like a lightforce 170,the beam goes as far, although it has a tighter, whiter spot. It may take you 2 or 3 sessions to get used to the whiter light. But I now prefer the 150 .it's nothing

Have a few of d.Lloyd's lamps here for anyone around the Midlands who wants one. Save a few quid on postage.

As a couple of people have already said, the red filters are no good with the LED lamps. It just doesn't happen.

Must be something to do with the type of light produced by the LED.

But I've also found that stuff isn't spooked so easily by the LED, again it must be the type of light.

Spot on I like it . I put black tape round the outside edge of the filter and colour in the inside edge with black marker to help stop the glear from the back edge of the filter works welll

i was supprised lastnight with the filter on the 150 there was very little glare coming back of it. it was a good tight fit.

I like the red filter on the 150 although they take some getting used to because you can't see much of the field with them, they still bring eyes up good enough for me.

To be fair, apart from the old cluelight slide or flip filters (i liked the slide), no filters fit without modification imo.

I've either cut all lugs off and put insolation tape to rims of lamp and filter for a tight squeeze fit, or heated and bent one or more luggs to use as pull off's and it also makes for a quieter fit.

Dunno about others but personally i hate the clatter of filters either on or off on a night out.

Those bent luggs can be drilled through and a line attached incase you drop it. It's a bugger dropping the sodding things in yhe mud.

All consentration should be directed to the quarry and not the clanging of brittle plastic an without the thought of where the feck it's dropped too when you got your eyes on the prize!!
