Archeologists used to do that mate on SSSI in some areas.

And west witterings... My pal bought a cheapish one. You cant really call it scrounging, digging up used BBQ`s, beer bottle tops and tent pegs and putting them in the bin.... That said I did find a quid, which was in my pocket before I stood up straight. My pal is still yet to score, which could be a long time coming as that was the first and last time we went out. :laugh:

 

Only if they did ,they just kick it to one side they are just as bad as the people who dropped them in the first place ,scum

It's all about obtaining the right land to detect on

Good hobby but if the land has loads of waste it's a nightmare.

Those deus look nice machines max,do you have the wireless headphones etc?How does it outperform the 250?

Any decent detectorist will stay away from holidaymakers and detect when the beaches are empty, most ì know are only interested in detecting on the wet sand mainly in the winter months usually after a storm

Pmsl that's almost as bad as slipping a few extra washers and bolts under a car someone's Working on.

funnily enough I've just got back into detecting, after a 20yr break, I thought I saw the rakeaboot name on another detecting site, (I'm dexters shed) my first ever find 20yr ago was this, and it's what made me hold onto the detector, although I've got back into it, I too want the garret ap pro international
