Can I Start Again?

I think I have made quite a few mistakes with my first spaniel, she is now two years old and nowhere near ready for this season

Will it do any harm to start again from scratch as if she was a puppy?

I'm in no rush so hopefully ready for next season

The foundation laid up til now is what the present or future relationship rests on

If the dog has experienced too much resistance in its Interactions with you and is tuning you out, it's damn near impossible to erase, the first cut is the deepest bud

As said some faults are a lot harder to fix than going back to basics , twelve years ago I got my spaniel as my terriers where getting old so I started her hunting straight away and then she wouldn't retrieve so I got a lab for that it's bloody annoying as she will pick up a dummy or retrieve anything in the garden but won't pick up game in the field

if you change all of your commands/training ground etc and really think about it you should get a workable dog. Take her to a trainer and learn how to get what you want
