Scope Advice

i dont know a lot at all about scopes so would like a few opinions on the best used scope i could buy for under £100, it will be going on a sub 12ftlb precharge, any advice would be great, thanks

What's it going on bud? My personal opinion would be something with a 32-40mm lens clear glass 4x mag, I currently use a Bushnell legend 3-9x40 which is great, and you can pick up a good example for under £100. Mtc genesis UL is a cracker too

Alright jonnie, cheers for that mate, its going on a hw100, theres a hawke 4 12 50 on it now but i fancy something else, this ones ok but i just want something better

Hawke glass is ok not the clearest I've seen stick to mtc/Bushnell/nikon etc I'd personally avoid Nikko Stirling and Hawke

Have a look at the MTC range as said, great scopes.

I've got a Bushnell Trophy 3-9x40 (or possibly 50) on my air rifle. You can get them new for around the £100 mark. Good glass IMO. Not a fan of MTC at all. Just my personal taste.

MTC mamba with scb reticle makes a great combo on those rifles.

Mtc reticle is good for air rifle as it's clear and reasonably simple

U won't beat nikon for quality in the lower budget stuff but the reticle are not as good for hold over and with a 12ftlb rifle u will want a good reticle

There isn't one, there are loads!

 

You don't need anything special on a 12 ft lb pcp. You are not talking about an aggressive caliber or long distances.

 

As long as you can see the quarry/target clearly and it holds zero then that's it.
