About 2 years ago he also bred a litter of russell/whippets.On the site it states no more whippets were being bred after 2016.

Is that where the ones on the other thread are from, or it that just a coincidence?

Good to hear some conversation regarding Whippets...? When I first came South from my native Wales, we settled in Portsmouth... There was a long tradition of poaching/mouching style of roust

Had great times with her, i never came home empty handed, and never took more than i needed

people define game in different ways. I call it driven. a game little rabbit dog, one with plenty of drive will work nettles, brambles, gorse, etc. when right on it's rabbit heading for cover it won't

If any one is thinking about spending the daft money that they are wanting for a ped whippet at the min keep your money in your pocket if your looking for a good rabbit dog, they are out there and I got lucky owning one but I've wasted a lot of time and money looking for another, I'd say 80% of ped whippets are not as good on rabbits as a lurcher and the only first cross whippet lurcher that is any good is a whippet x greyhound.

that  whippet of yours that you recon is the best one you've owned...have you bred her Trev??

would imagine a brother of the bitch your running now put over said whippet might produce somthing handy

I breed a litter and me and my mate kept one back , they started of well but didn’t make good enough in the end. The brother to my bitch I’m running at the min got hit by a car last week and killed mate but luckily he did line the Merle bitch before which was a mistake but the lad is well happy it happened now

I have just started going out with Paul Waddington. Hes done alot over the years hunting. He has now stopped breeding whippets but he never bred many anyway from what told me. He's a genuine guy, done abit with jim when he was younger. Me and Paul will be out together this week ferreting some of his permission.

Hes now bringing on a lurcher after many years. The lurcher was bred by Ella who I have been hunting with alot recently. The dogs coming on well.

There's a lad on here who, along with his family, owned some of the fastest non-peds ever to grace a track.

Twice within recent years he offered to gift me a pup.

Not long ago I was gifted a Teckel pup by another member on here., they sell for stupid money.

Another member on here offered me a pup bred from his Beddy/grey, again for free.

Theres still a lot of people who would rather gift a pup to like minded people, than be in it just for the money.

Cheers.

True words charts , that’s the way it used be
