kps1979 1,308
I've seen a few good collie bred dogs, they have appealed to me much more other than other breeding. I use a lurcher containing collie deerhound Beddlington and greyhound. Brilliant ferreting dog. http://rs683.pbsrc.com/albums/vv195/andrew_scotchegg/10896989_1513080605619414_9011560394089424532_n_zpseb8jf5eh.jpg?w=480&h=480&fit=clip now Andrew you know that dogs far to big for rabbits... 1 Quote Link to post
kps1979 1,308
Two border X whippets out of a litter I had last year, both seem to be doing ok. It was the black dogs first time ferreting he did very well, as much as I like these dogs I'll never own a terrier based dog again, I'm happy with my lurcher ferreting she marks spot on and catches bolters that's good enough for me. 6 Quote Link to post
terryd 8,039
Some cracking dogs above ideal ferreting partners But for some reason I ended up with this pudding but even though a little busher would have been better for ferreting I new it would only get out weekends but at least with this fella it opens up other options on the lamp so he can get out during the week as well 2 Quote Link to post
Mark r 208
My old dog 11 years now has a lot of bedlington in her she's been good as she can be used on the lamp will hunt any land and push woodland through bolting foxes aswell as be a competent dog at ferreting just sometime wi the terrier blooded dogs they can be a bit too fiery. I Wouldn't mind trying one of the farm bred collies next the light framed type there smart can work all day and the are wick little dogs Edited December 6, 2015 by Mark r Quote Link to post

Flacko 1,732
Fluff you got a Lurcher that you use just for ferreting or do you expect your dogs to be alrounders, I myself like my dogs to do both even the one which are coursing type bred atb Flacko Quote Link to post
