Being Paid For Pest Control

hi everyone

 

been shooting over what I call one of my posh garden permissions for just over a year now controlling rabbits and the owner said he wants to pay me for it as he says I've done a really good job of keeping numbers down , I told him wasn't really that bothered and enjoyed the sport and getting a few bunnies for the pot but he has insisted he pays me and has asked how much I want but don't have a clue what to ask , should I charge for my time or how many rabbits I shoot , what do you guys think ?

Ask him can he get you more perm off his posh mate's tell him that'll be payment enough

If you were getting paid to do it, wouldn't you need to declare it for tax and have business insurance, I'm think BASC and the like only insure if doing it as a hobbie.

Had same for fuel money when travelling a few miles to get there, flat refused it. It's a privalage to be there but eggs are good currency in return!

If your insured with SACS payment invalidates your insurance no sure how a gift affects it ??

Think you can earn up to a certain amount think it's about 5 or 6 grand.

Edit that's with advanced membership, nobody's going to know if the farmer pays your for pellets or diesel though

If hes insisting just ask for enough to cover your costs, petrol, pellets gun maintenance? After all you enjoy shooting and if you charge you might feel pressured to preform
