Don't think I tried to hard sell the pups just put up an honest post about to well grafted dogs that have been put together to produce a good litter ... Buy or don't I am really not bothered .......

£250 a pup is beyond me like I can't believe there is so called dogmen selling pups for this type of ££!!! I give pups away if I breed a litter no matter how much it costs me to raise um I'm always out of pocket but its worth it to raise a litter give um to good working homes but ££ has ruined the game lads rant over atb cbx

When you consider mongrels such as cockerpoo' s labradoodle etc are fetching 6 to 8 hundred quid, a well bred gundog is between 5 and 750, terriers are around 2 hundred quid why shouldn't he sell them for whatever he wants?

Everyone rants on these forums about the price of this and that but move with the times, is not like they are the only pups being sold for that kinda money!

I've gifted pups and been gifted pups but only to mates, why should he put the money and effort into rearing a quality litter and give them to someone he doesn't know who'll prob sell them on for profit anyway!!

And Who says he hasn't gifted a couple out as there are only 2 for sale!

im sure dogmen would gift to people he knows , so you would give a pup away to some one you don't no ? Or would you sell it , to done one you never met ?

Sadly people lie all the time when they go to view a litter. They lie about what they'll do with the dog. They lie when you say to them that if it doesn't work out it must come back to you rather than being sold on. They lie about their home situation: I once let a pup go to some very nice people who lied about their grandson living with them. When they came to see the pup they brought the most horribly spoilt brat with them, but they told me that the boy didn't live with them. Two days after taking the pup she woman phoned me to say that the boy wasn't accepting the puppy and they couldn't keep it. The whole truth came out then and I drove for 3 hours to pick up the puppy which luckily hadn't been traumatised by its temporary incarceration in a shed because the 4 year old boy was jealous of it. The mind boggles

 

As for gifting dogs to members on this site: some are appalling. Others are brilliant. It's life. I shall never give a pup to someone I don't know very well ever again, and I wouldn't sell a pup to just anyone either. I feel responsible for that pup's happiness and well being for the whole of its life, after all, I was instrumental in bringing it into this world. If ever I bred a litter again, unlikely at this stage, I'd cull hard to what was pre-booked, but even then, you can never guarantee anything for certain. Peoples' situations change. They may have to give up their dogs.
