Good idea that. I might take mine

Cost me 40odd quid mate, that for family ticket for fishing an nature trail walk, 2 kids rods. 3 fish each all cleaned an gutted for you before you leave, could fish all day but my kids wanted to leave in end an go check some traps 😂 the fly only lakes are busy but full a fish an look not too bad for a day ticket fishery, might pop up one day midweek when it quiet for a few casts meself👍

A few types of "swims" where we're fortunate enough to fish..   The Exeter Canal before first light (Tench blowing everywhere on this morning).. The tidal Exe     First light at Hopes

I'm guessing I was about 14 when this was taken. That would make it 43 years ago. Eek ! Its possible I had hooked the bottom rather than a fish:)   This one was taken at the same spot yesterday a

Moved further down south recently the canal is a 5min walk so after years of barrowing around a ton of carp gear around packed lakes started fishing light. Drop shotting for perch and pre baiting like

Few photos from the other day. Fishing the margins for carp on a big lake. They weren't playing though. The weather went from scorching to cold and wet to windy in three hours.

There is or was a place at Pickering like that. Great fun for the kids, but my old mate nearly had a heart attack when he hooked a 10lb+ trout. It would have cost him almost £30 but he managed to unhook it using the tip guide so wasn't landed.

That’s been filled in now I’m sure ☹️
