Who cares if some people on this site spell the odd word wrong its a hunting site not an a level test site. Revealing an honest and genuine passion for the hunting game is far more important,.. than fine prose.... Agree with Phil and Fuji But what about the classifieds when some cannae spell and some admit their dug cannae be run anywhere near sheep !!!!!! Revealing an honest and genuine passion for the hunting game is far more important,.. than fine prose.... and pictures Phil, you've got to have pictures I agree in that a post with a pertinent photo does make it easier to put a face to the subject. However some photos as with the written word raise my eyebrows. WHOEVER said the camera does not lie was no photographer as the angle, stance of a dog can make it look stunning or a bag of shit. The written word is important in getting the true point across & some of the spelling i read is quite ridiculous but as Phil says the most important thing "it`s what he writes" that matters. Some of the writing`s & publication`s of the past were of a high standard as regard`s spelling etc & quite an enjoyable read if im honest. However much was plain bullshit & downright nonsense. Thats the main tragedy of the writing game is to be in a position to do so much good in educating those starting the game,rather than feeding your own ego & self importance. What i heard time again is the term "poetic licence" when writing, However poetic Carte Blanche is another thing,no matter that it was well written & crafted as an enjoyable read. Quite frankly bullshit is bullshit!!! Modern media means that in the sense of putting up or shutting up this nonsense does not thrive as it once would, indeed did thrive when you had to either write or wait till after 6pm to be allowed access to the phone for information on what happens at the other end of the country. Myself i enjoy something well written over what they term as textspeak but its better to read whats from the heart than to read well written plain delusion.
