Dog Transporting Run From Ireland To Uk

Recommended Posts

A friend of mine took 4 couple of hounds in a van through holyhead and out dublin port and was waved on, they both got lucky, since they got that big haul of pups in rosslare few weeks ago the whole lot has tightened up, I will need to do a run back into Ireland, from what I've been told Ireland isn't as strict as uk, going into uk now is very hot.

I'd have no problem taking an unmicro-chipped dog foxbolter but when I would be pulled in at either port and found out when they check all dogs on board, the dog would be confiscated and my license w

It's English legislation. Thank the English government for all the sillyness. Ireland just have to abide by the rules and have the necessary paperwork going over. As we know ireland and uk have no rabies, when it was brought into law for all dogs to be rabies vaccinated coming in from continent they included ireland aswel. It was a poor move from uk government but it hasn't stopped dogs travelling over. Still shipping large numbers of dogs over on a weekly basis.
