Good Evening From Lincoln.

Pheasants are really air gun game though... lets be honest. There too posh and dont present any real challenge as they just woddle about. Unless there in flight, then there not a target of mine, which they never are anyway. However I have been known to drop one on the wing with my 97 from about 50 yards. "Straight through the brain" ;)

Hutchin. Get a Hawke. Or a Panamax from Nikko Stirling. Best 100 beans you'll spend.

Hello Bill and welcome to the forum..   Well, what are you looking for to start with? Whether you choose a spring powered air rifle or a pre-charged pneumatic (PCP) you will find lots of friendly ad

We tried to, he advertised a left handed Daystate Huntsman, the wife wanted one so we trekked up one a half stuffing hours in the car to find out the Daystate was right handed. The difference is prett

You will not get another offer like rez has offered you so sort it out with him and set a time, and day you both can get down to the range and the lad will help you out no end he is a good lad   Now

I would just like to welcome you to the hatstand owners club hutchin

The hatstand is like your uncle knob head

Every time you take it out you hope it doesn't show you up

Let you down or make you look stupid

Every time you pull the trigger on a hatstand you never know what you will get

A misfire,a flyer or nothing at all I own a semi auto 12 g

Don't listen to all these lads

Anyone can shoot a well build air rifle made with precision to the highest standard

Hatstands are like old blind dogs not a lot of good but you keep um any way

Word of warning don't go relying on the hatstand to fill your belly you will starve to death

And don't waste your money on a good scope

There is nothing worse than seeing a miss close up and crystal clear

Apart from all this the hatstand range are fantastic

Once again welcome to the hatstand owners club ( spread the word we have less members than the Muslim pork pie appreciation society)

thanks Abarrett, that made me chuckle if nothing else. I've purchased my "Hatstand" new and already had a tin of 500 through it, other then when zeroing in I had no bad shots. I've managed to put a dot on a peice of paper using a bingo dabber and its only taken me 9 shots to get rid of it entirely from about 30 meters, I don't know if that's good or bad but I was impressed with myself. The groupings are getting better and I havent yet had a pellett go missing after firing so I'll wait for that. I can see myself upgrading within a few months but I'm happy I didn't go overboard when buying my first rifle. I still think for me I made the right choice.

Pheasants taste nice and if you have permission to shoot them ("Like what I do" to quote Eric and Ern) and it is season then why not?
