Love the bows.

Is the process hard? I have a good supply of yew, in particular I have found a lovely, long, straight knot free piece about 7 inches in diameter for a good 6 foot. Really want to try to make a bow out of it. Does it sound feasible?

7" dia is a good size, if you quarter it then you will have 4- 72" staves - 4 bows- or 4 attempts to make 1 bow, go for it .

very good idea, you have more chance of success starting off with a laminated bow, I will have a look in my loft I'm sure I still have a little booklet that I used to get started with, if I find it I would be pleased to post it off to you.
