Made me giggle that answer as nearly every whippet litter was so called laguna bred at one time a bit like Bedlingtons from GN

Wasn't Laguna the kennel club prefix for whippets bred by Dorrit McKay and then carried on by her daughter Lilah Bong Gunning along with Colonel Walsh, Didn't someone gift a dog pup (Sooty Sam) to that bloke in North Wales, something Brown i think his name was, He then went on to produce litter after litter with the Laguna name slightly attached shall i say Lol.

My first introduction to whippets was nimrodel an oak bark lines my cousins foster parents kept I have good memories of hunting with these little dogs. I use to use a little nimrodel dog named blue this little dog was like dynamite he was silly fast game as they come an tough as old boots

They are strange character's that's for sure, Mistral the blue whippet i owned would yelp if i even looked at her the wrong way in home, But once outside, i could pick her up by the scruff and chuck her over a 4ft hedge without her making a sound.  She was the only dog i have ever owned that would crown the ferret in a stop end.
