S400 Barrel Wont Remove!!

Oryt fellas I have just bought an air arms s400 and need to remove the barrel to be cleaned and polished to bare metal, I am familiar with stripping these guns and have removed the small grub scree located on the top of the action but it still wont budge any others had similar issues with aa pcps and if so hoe did you solve it, Thanks in advance

Couldnt remove the barrell on my s410 either, think they are bonded and may need heat.

Nathan, have you taken both grub screws out?

Barrels dont need to be bonded in but the brass barrel end that takes the rubber gromet for the pellet is bonded to the main barrel body.

You can usually get them out by turning the barrel and at the same time applying pressure out wards, or use some gentle heat from a hair dryer or heat gun to soften any glue thats been used and possibly been to much

you need to take out the two grub screws on top of the bolt housing,then you need to remove the 6 bolts from the housing,remove the housing turn it over and undo the small grub screw there,if it still dose not budge,use some heat as it may be loctite on the shim.
