The sneaky bloody barsteward lol. I struggle to tell the difference between linnets and red polls but ive learnt me bleedin lesson now!

Do you reckon its a hen aswell, or it just hasnt been colour fed?

Got a nice lovebird here mate they pair off no bother wi canarys. 200 and its yours. Pull your pants up and do your homework. It's happened to us all at some stage lol. Finch noted mule I bought other week chanting like a canary. atb

We've all had it done to us and like the dog world there's some fecking scroats about for sure but as Gnipper says get some colour feed and pluck a 1/2 dozen chest feathers out and if a cock there'll grow back red.I do see a silver ring on it's leg and i think there a few years old now the ioa silver ring,maybe 2 or 3 years and the redpoll isn't really a long living bird i'm afraid either...

Good luck it's a cock and remember a mule will sing what it hears so play it a goldie song and although it won't be as clear as a goldie mule it'll sound something like one :thumbs:

first time i set up an old fella said give me £60 for 15 canaries ..... i did .. fecker sold me old fecked birds even 1 had one leg scabby old birds i trusted him as he was my friends dad .. well & truly shafted i was , i learned pretty quickly after that ,

I got ripped off a few times with birds over the years. There's a lot of people buying birds just to sell at auctions and sales etc so there's a good chance the seller actually thought it was a linnet, I'd be careful to make sure its rung correctly too if I was you.
