Have you any idea where the lad was from ? Must be nearly 20yrs ago that scratch went to the states but there was a few dogs about from the sparticus x scratch mating before she went. Just trying to find out who had them

A lad who used to dig with me 20 odd years ago had a black dog called flint that was a spartacus pup, not sure of the dam but the time scale is about right to be scratch.Flint was a really useful dog on anything and would take care of any fox he got to.

The lad that owned him was from egham in surrey but i have'nt spoken to him in a long time so don't. now if any of that blood still about.

20 years ago sparticus was probably getting more sex than a porn star, there was a lot of his stuff about which is why not many people bred it as you could easily get it and that's why there is not much of it still about.

I don't know mate. I know she was with a chap near Melton mowbray then I think she went to ken but where she went from their before going to the states, I really don't know. I seem to remember hearing that the bitch was nearly lost in a cave in but was a long time ago, so not 100% it was scratch.

The dog you're talking about was the grandfather to the dog and bitch in my aviator.

The dog you're talking about was the grandfather to the dog and bitch in my aviator.

 

Very good, if they follow the grand father they must be decent dogs,thinking about it i was there when he had his first dig,feeling old now.
