Craig Fosse 286
Hello guys, Long time no speak to a lot of you, my life has been hectic this past year and a bit, with the new job etc and I just haven't had the chance to get out, my shooting took a big dive last year with only recording something like 5(15 quarry most of those pheasants for the farmer) outings on the BASCigamebook which I tend to use. My laptop broke too and I can't access this on my phone really to write as it takes ages and my work computer doesn't accept facebook log in, Moxy has had a battle on his hands trying to transfer me and has managed to do it now! So what's new? Well I'm still with my old faithful s200 I currently have a tench regulator coming down for it from Darrin at XTX and an mtc mamba (yes bigmac it's taken this long to get it and the sunshade haha! Which I still need it order). Anyway good news in January I have been out on 5 shoots with 4 woodpigeon and 1 rabbit taken. The jersey royals are firmly in the ground now and I have been lucky enough to double my previous permission as I have been helping the farmer out more and more. As some of you may remember I left the forces and moved back to jersey, I managed at the start of the year to pick up a job as an airport fireman, I have now been there for a year. With airport saftey comes a lot to do with bird control infact they have their own law on it. Due to my hobbies I have been asked to help out, in the next month I will be out on the lethal control team which controls a lot of the quarry on the airfield, not as much as you think but they like the see the gun being drawn. They have an O/U and a hw100 at their disposal which should be good, getting paid to do your hobby! So plans, obviously to be on this a lot more now, I'm looking at regulating my s200 and hopefully uping the power to around 17ft/lb .177 (for those of you who don't remember or are new I live in jersey where we have the same laws as Ireland...FAC only) basically I'm looking at seeing how many shots I can get/ power that is suitable for an outing. I have looked into changing, the only air rifles my LHS sell are tx200 and importation costs too much so changing is out the question now. I'm also maybe looking at an a/m cylinder but don't know the prices etc. I have stuck ruggedly to aa field with my 200 but took the dive and ordered some exact heavies to see what they are like. Hope all of you are well! Once again hello to all the old timers, I have been checking in from time to time so a lot of you are still around. All the best Fossy (Craig) 2 Quote Link to post

secretagentmole 1,701
Craig for a bit more shooting fun, make it known to the bird team at the airport that you are an expert air rifleman with insurance, sometimes the only way to stop the damned feathered engine feckers is to shoot them! Craig Fosse 286
Mole, I have done mate, I'm off to the local clay ground in the coming weeks to do a saftey and gun test and then I can pretty much draw the rifle/gun whenever I want, good thing is I start at 5 in the morning on my earlies and the first plane isn't in till 7 so I have a good hours driving around the perimeter and shooting, Quote Link to post
