Maggie didn't sell the houses, she just instituted the "right to buy" scheme which allowed those eligible to buy, like yourself, the problem lies in not allowing councils to use the money from the sales to build more social housing. Labour continued the scheme but the Tony was a big fan of Maggie and many conservative policies were continued under new labour.

No its not. Hard work, a good attitude, business nouse and a little luck will see you right.

 

The problem is lots of British people seem to not want to work. Or they expect Managing Director wages for 40 hrs a week of unskilled labour right on their doorstep. It just doesn't add up.

 

There is lots of well paid jobs out there. The work maybe unpleasant or antisocial hours or far away, but it is there. It is just a question of wanting it enough.

Most would be happy with a living wage not so much a managing directors wage.

If people cannot survive on what they are earning they have two choices; earn more (work harder/longer/get a better job/get a second job) or reduce their spending to match their income (give up drinking/smoking/drugs/other luxuries/buy second hand food/be smarter with their food shopping). The world owes no one a living.

 

If a person is unhappy with their lot in life, then they better get off their arse and do something to change, because nobody else will!

weather their Romanian, or not there's plenty of f***ing spongers that are our own nationals too, so if my taxes go to Romanians or not means f**k all to me. honesty may be the harder route to take but i pride myself in saying that everything i own i worked hard for.
