They certainly look well made and a tad comfier to use than a piece of poxy rope! Lol, and as someone pointed out earlier, your hands won't get any gyp should you have a keen un about to be slipped

I no a lad that got leads in eng same type and then for years

i stopped with the rope it kept burnig my hand when the dog was pulling really sore the next day so i use a leather strap

 

if looked after correctly they will last a long time you do have to feed the leather what i mean by that is put wax on the leather it then draws it in and keeps the leather supple and waterproof and in general good condition

gafer theres no doubting your workmanship they look top draw and a good price but what if you if you bought a cheap leather lead and cut the metal clip of what difference is there except price not trying to be clever or anything mate honest question

the quallity of leather for a start and all my stuff is hand made it takes time to make my stuff because if i sold everything dirt cheep i would be hemeraging money cheap is exactly that

of course they would do the same job but one would be made from shit and the other made from expensive leather what will hold up alot better
