The Mirror Newspaper "league Against Cruel Sports" Poll

Recommended Posts

I think we need to submit articles showing the true side of the sport, Whats BASC doing about it,???? if anything, why are they not putting articles forward, all shooting organizations need to get together on this, and raise the profile of hunting /shooting in the public eye in a positive way, truth is we are not being represented fairly, and the press and television corporations are acting in a biased manner as most are run by antis,we pay our rates too and have a right to fair representation,

It was 55% Yes to 45% No at lunchtime yesterday. It is only a poll but would be nice to see the votes closer than they are at present.

Ive just read it now 6.45pm and its 74% to 26% against us so can you check that mate? or is it dodgy? If so we ought to be reporting it.

Did the IWTF in NI make any attempt to defend terrier work or to fight back against the lies these wankers are writing in newspapers, after all isnt that why the federation was started in the 1st place to defend our right to use terriers in a legal manner as pest controll, they should be flooding the mirror news paper with letters of support for terrier work and all types of legal hunting.

FM,

As you know the federation does not conduct its business on an open forum like THL.

Members who attended the AGM last July will be familiar with our position.

Just to prevent the wrong message from bringing terrier work and its defence into disrepute.

The IWTF have been in discussion with the appropriate people regarding terrier work in Northern Ireland.

These submissions and meetings are ongoing and we will update members in due course.

A lot of progress has been made to date.

The people who are going to make decisions regarding animal welfare and hunting do not read the Daily Mirror.

Articles like the one printed in the Daily Mirror tell us a lot about L.A.C.S. and other Anti groups.

Their total lack of knowledge of dog breeds and methods of hunting is clear from the garbled message that they put out.

This piece of writing in particular is so mixed up in its content it would only confuse the public.

There is an error in every paragraph.

This is a good thing, it may appeal to the red top rags as sensational headlines (Frankenstein dogs is a first)

but when these Anti groups must sit in front of government committees and put a logical case forward to reasonable people they come unstuck.

We should keep it that way, do not correct them, do not educate them. Their ignorance is their undoing.

They are losing ground everywhere, LACS are in financial trouble, their model is outdated and fading fast.

ICABS in Ireland are like headless chickens, coursing, bullfighting, hunting, Mink farming, live animal exports, circus acts...

they do not know what they are doing.

The real enemy of hunting and the countryside is the person who posted a picture of an injured dog on the internet.

All working dogs are at risk of an injury at some point in their lifetime. All working animals also have that risk.

The horse racing community do not post pictures of injured animals after the grand national. But they do get injured.

Yes mate it was that close at one stage but it didn't stay that way for long. After that the majority of votes must have been Yes votes ?
