bobcullen79 1,495
Pike are very deceiving, lol at a guess I'd say 16lbs but we could all be a mile out! I've caught a lot of pike and the scales can really disappoint you sometimes. Great catch all the same mate It definitely make a non believer out of you owning a reliable set of scales. Especially if you see a cheap set in the anglers bag. Once you get your eye in and handled a few fish, its usually not far off. Its not just pike that can be deceiving. 2 Quote Link to post
bobcullen79 1,495
12lb 12.4 Hooked in the eye socket after taking a skimmer that didnt register on the delkims on a boilie for carp. With having such a weird hook hold it felt like a train, just couldnt turn it , Like you say Ant, gutted when the scales came out as it was my biggest pike to date at the time. 2 Quote Link to post
whippet 99 2,613
hard too judge from side shot , back would give you a better idea , I wouldn't say its 20lbs , 17-18 lbs would be my guess . had a 22 lbs on an ondex from a local river , great fun ( that was a guess of thread starters fish) Quote Link to post

S.Maclean 94
Going off my logic I'd have said 17lb, again hard to tell accurately because it's a photo but slightly shorter than OP's photo I think. I'm intrigued to know the weight now, I'm not afraid to admit when I'm wrong. Ps. Cracking photo bobcullen 1 Quote Link to post
