There's better dogs out there for the big rabbits but I'd go for a 3/4 x everytime.

I've just watch a farm collie run through a open wood and across afield ,and I was doing 30 alongside on the road.i reckon it would put some lurchers to shame,it impressed me anyways.

I had a half cross years ago that was ok on hares on a short slip, or hunted up. But i think i was lucky and got a good one....

I've a 5/8 x 3/8 hancock bitch here really good rabbit dog but she ain't no hare dog. don't get me wrong she has put a few in

the bag but lacks wind behind a good strong hare. But i never got her for hares so any she gets is a bonus.

you cant beat seeing generaitions of workers

easy to train , bred of dogs that graft , not just any old greyhound or collie , as traits come through poor greyhounds poor collies nervous , nobody buys of untried stock if there serous about hunting ,wether spaniels terriers coursing dogs , its hard enough getting the right pups without the chance of non working parents , hancock is a pet breeder with a bit working , remember this most dogs with half greyhound are fast enough weather collie terrier beagle whatever , its when you want the good traits kept close that you breed worker to worker ,most people anything that looks like a lurcher will do but to others thats no good

That's the thing though it's ok if you have that luxury, the newbies of the game more than likely won't know anyone who has decent dogs and there's plenty of bullshitters out there who are just as bad as Hancock who claim there dogs do this and that but in reality do jack shit. At least with Hancock you know you're getting a honest collie cross, it may not be a world beater but if reared right chances are you'll get a handy dog.
