Ball Bearing Weights........

Recommended Posts

You might remember the other day that we agreed my shiny new bearings are 9.5mm and weigh 3.57g each.........

Well, today I was in my local recycling project and I found a plastic bag with a dozen or so bb's in it. I paid the chap the 20p (!) he wanted and took them home. There's 3 different sizes, but most of them are 9.5mm...........happy days!

Anyway, just out of curiosity, I weighed one. The evidence is below (and I give you my word it's 9.5mm and there's nothing else on the scale, out of shot)

Can anyone explain, in terms that a thick twat like me will understand ?

sure its not lead lol

or they could be tungsten i think it might be twice as dense as steel

Deffo not lead. Never thought of tungsten - no real way of knowing as they were just loose in a plastic bag..........
