The NILRC Champion of Champions

The NILRC Champion of Champions 2nd annual Dog Show and Race Day will be held on 31st August at the NILRC Show at Field of Dreams, Gulladuff, Maghera. BT45 8PA

There will be the Champion of Champions Lurcher, Champion of Champions Whippet and Champion of Champions Terrier.
Any dog who has been crowned Champion Lurcher, Terrier or Whippet at any show North or South of the Border qualifies.
To register contact the NILRC by 8pm on Wednesday 27th August with your Name, dogs details and details of the show you have won at. Entries will not be taken after this deadline.
Here are the Racing and Showing Classes
Race classes as follows:

1. Lurcher Under 21"

2. Lurcher Under 23"

3. Lurcher Over 23"

4. Rough Haired Lurcher

5. Bull Cross Lurcher

6. Elite Under 21"

7.Elite Under 23”

8.Elite Over 23”

9.Working Whippets

10.Terrier

11.Greyhounds

Showing will follow the racing with the following classes:

Handling:

1. Junior Handling

2. Adult Handling NILRC Members Class: This class is open to any member of the NILRC who has not won a previous members class. Note that all members entering must show their own dog. The Winner will qualify for the NILRC Members Championship to be held on the day.

Lurcher:

1. Pup

2. Under 23" Smooth

3. Over 23" Smooth

4. Under 23" Rough

5. Over 23" Rough

6. Bull Cross

7. Terrier Cross

8. Whippet Cross

9. Bedlington Cross

10. Race Type

11. Lamping Lurcher

12. Fox Lurcher

13. Hare Lurcher

14. Pairs Lurcher

Champion (Classes 2-13) Champion

Lurcher qualifies for the NILRC Champion of Champions to be held on the day.

Whippet:

1. Pup

2. Working Bitch

3. Working Dog

4. Pairs Whippet

Champion (Classes 2-3)

Champion Whippet qualifies for the NILRC Champion of Champions to be held on the day.

Terriers:

1. Pup

2. Jack Russell Type

3. Border Type

4. Lakeland / Fell

5. Patterdale

6. Any Crossbred Terrier

7. Working Terrier

8. Pairs

Terrier Champion (Classes 2-7 )

ChampionTerrier qualifies for the NILRC

Champion of Champions to be held on the day

1. Lurcher, Terrier and Whippet Champion.

2. Winner will receive the Thomas McCormack Memorial Shield. Championships

3. The NILRC Champion of Champions will be held following normal showing. Any dog that has won Champion Lurcher,

Terrier or Whippet at any show North or South qualifies for the Championships. To enter please PM your name, dog details and show details or email NILRC@hotmail.co.uk.

      The 5 NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS FOR LURCHERS/WHIPPETS/TERRIES ALONG WITH THE MASTER McGRATH  AND MICK THE MILLAR  WILL TAKE PLACE AT BALLINABRANNA GALLOP,CARLOW, CO CARLOW  ON SUNDAY AUGUST 25th 2024  BY KIND PERMISSION  OF MR AJ TITTERINGTON.
       JUST A FEW  DETAILS AT THIS STAGE. 
      1/ THE 5 NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS  IS OPEN TO EVERY CHAMPION AND RESERVE CHAMPION IN LURCHERS/WHIPPETS/TERRIERS  THAT QUALIFYS AT A SHOW THIS SUMMER.  THIS IS THE SAME FOR MASTER McGRATH
      2/ WINNING CHAMPIONS MUST RECEIVE A SIGNED TICKET FROM THE SHOW ORGANISER SHOWING THE SHOW NAME/DATE AND NAME OF DOG. THIS TICKET MUST ACCOMPANY YOUR DOG ON THE  CHAMPIONSHIP DAY TO BE ABLE TO ENTER THE FINALS.
      3/ THESE TICKETS WILL BE GIVEN TO ALL SHOW ORGANISER WHO WANT TO PARTAKE IN THE 5 NATIONS/MASTER McGRATH.  ON THE DAY THE MICK THE MILLAR WILL BE OPEN TO ALL HAIRY DOGS AS USUAL.
      4/ MASTER McGRATH WILL BE OPEN TO ALL SMOOTH DOGS OVER 24s AND UPWARDS.
      5/ 6 TICKETS WILL BE GIVEN TO SHOWS WITH SHOWING ONLY, AND 8 TICKETS TO SHOWS WHO WANT TO ENTER THE MASTER Mc GRATH.
      6/ EACH TICKET WILL HAVE A NUMBER ON THE BACK. IF YOUR SHOW NEEDS THESE TICKETS PLEASE PM BIDDY Mc GRATH OR MARGARET McSTAY AND THEY WILL BE POSTED OUT TO YOU OR GIVEN TO YOU ON YOUR SHOW DAY.
      7/ ALL IRELAND SHOWING AND RACING AS USUAL WILL  TAKE PLACE ON CHAMPIONSHIP DAY THE 25th AUGUST 24.
