Adrian. Thanks for that.

It sure does sound like you have an head ache. Its such a big topic when it comes to conditions on your licence. What reasons did they give for the mentoring condition? Im with South Wales Police.

What did BASC say? How long have you had your FAC for and is it only rimfire. Sorry about all the questions mate because I know itsnot gonna help you much. Do you have someone who can mentor you?

Dan: Same as me mate. Got 500 rounds. Gonna be awful expensive if i was to buy that amount

Well being that I'm reloading at some point in time 300 is what I went with, since it doesn't count until I've made the ammo myself 300 will be plenty.

As maktayla said if you told us a bit more on your circumstances mate the we could get a better picture and see if we could give you some info to argue with.

Its the way they do it in devon&cornwall, I need a mentor with open ticket to basically sign me off as capable. I ve been involved with shooting for several years (25) always air rifle and out with friends with there shot guns and .22s. Only just got my ticket 6months ago because I shoot alone now and have done for last 5 yrs or so. basc said that's experience so ask for it to be removed they said a good back stop is a good back be it for a 17hmr or 223. I will use the rimfire for fox at moment because I need my ticket back got no ammo left. I will try to find a friend who knows someone who knows someone to mentor me.

Yep I predominantly shoot alone or one other and I could provide evidence but aswell I'm not surprised this is still happening in some places.

You have the relevant experience and reason and this was amended nationwide not so long ago , also this was in a basc magazine awhile back stating the implementing of the upcoming changes.

I would do as basc suggested...you dont ask you dont get!
