Strangely enough......I handled punch in a show for SB when I was about 18........of couse he was the only dog like that at the whole show back then & he took 1st prize......I'll always remember,

Not a better example but a genuine first cross! And does ok for me! Honest bitch!

i have to agree with the last post. but animals that get the best of both worlds rarely throw it. the mold is broke after making them.

Pye was one of those rarities that, when lines were tight, threw dogs both as good, if not better, in shape and attitude.

i saw another pic of him fine looking animal

Was it this one?

Bunson,

We're was that picture taken?

Scotland?

Pie was up here for season.

Produced litter of decent dogs.

Few decent generations of dogs came from pie.

Theirs one lad on here who's got the purest line of pie you could get in his kennel, put it up for open stud and no takers. 7 pages of this shows theirs interest so why nobody wanted to use the dog is beyond me. Ill let him name himself but in its day it was as good a specimen you could ask for and I personally would like to see it put across a rangy fast fooker, deerhound cross but I suppose a coursing dog would do the trick ( not my cup of tea though )
