Stopping Dogs Attacking Yours

Recommended Posts

Mine was attacked a few times as a pup, once by an English bull off the lead, which grabbed her back leg and gave Her a nasty puncture wound. I kicked it in the head and it yelped and ran off.

Second time was an American bulldog off lead, came at my dog and tried to grab her throat, but I grabbed its collar and and kneeled on its head until the owner came running over with all kinds of apologies, I told her to keep it leashed or I'd kill it next time.

Third time my pup was older and harder, and wise to it all, patterdale cornered her and grabbed her throat, and having nowhere to run she fought back, and nearly killed the patt, I squeezed her windpipe to get her off otherwise she was locked on to kill. But the owner was understanding, he saw it all and apologised. Mine is fine of she can run and now I know if she needs to, she can fight well, so I'm less worried by strange dogs. Still, c**ts with unpredictable dogs should take responsibility. Any dog well socialised should have no such problem, as always it's a case of bad owners.

What the f**king hell's that in ye pocket, Phil?! Or are ye Really pleased with that pup?!

No most dogs will let go as soon as their feet come off the ground. If you hold on the dog can't get round to bite you anyway. Had to do it a few times with the staff when I've had trouble with other

I ve gone down that route with protecting my dogs from other strange aggresse dogs, but now I only watch out for the them up to 2 year old, meaning by that age there should be mature in body+mind .So if they get in to a scrap they can handle it there selves , it wont be a shock to them, by then then they should know not all dogs are friendly .After all dogs will fight, and unless the dogs really over matched say a rottie to westie etc ... then you got intervene , but most dogs of similar size it just all noise bit of fur pulled out, they don't kill each other, it just dominance thing it always looks worse than what it really is just chill and don't panic  . he's a tip for you, if a dog trying to grab your dog, get close to the other dog, and stand on its paws , they deff don't like that . you might get the odd pit type or really determined dog that will still try ,but 95 % will deff move off if you trod on them

Lol had it here with some trout in the dog park. I was passing through this park where they have an area for dogs now normally these areas are filled with pretty well socialised dogs..... Well this time I walked up to the fenced off area with Trev who I then tell over as I pass through the gate..... Some stupid bitch starts feckin yelling at me in Catalan basically she's telling me I shouldn't be letting my dog jump the fence and should control it better just as a feckin ancient boxer comes over growling and shit. What's a man to do?? Yep I booted the cnut right under it's chin so hard it dropped lol well as you can imagine this woman starts screaming even more... The out of control aggressive dog on the floor in the dog park is hers lmao told her next time I'd finish the job! Same stupid slapper had a go at the mrs as well and got told exactly where to go.. People approached the mrs after.. Turns out this bitch thinks she owns the park and her dog is really aggressive and has attacked countless other dogs!

@bird-i could see that getting you bitten by some dogs,I gave this dog a boot because it mouthed my arm when I scruffed it so in my mind it's the type that would bite a human.

Not much you can do to get a nasty dog off without risking getting bit yourself,if it's that way inclined, imo.

except maybe shooting it lol

The woman with the Alsatian I had all those problems with, the one that attacked and seriously hurt 4 dogs that I know of, one of which didn't reappear for months and now limps along the poor fecker, who used to make my life and a load of others a misery by having her dog roaming the fields and streets, used to run up to my back gate going crazy setting mine off, and just being very blasé and irresponsible about her aggressive dog??

Seriously ill. Karma for being such a horrible, snide bitch? Hmm...no get well soon cards from me anyway...

The dog mouthed you and put you in fear of your own safety, your well within your rights to boot it once it's done that, you can actually land the other owner in it, out of control dog in public place, I'd put in a counter complaint against them. Look up UK dogs act.

I did say that, but I didn't put it forward as a complaint yet just information.

I find staying calm normally helps the situation , lift back legs and 9 times out of 10 dog will let go if not twist it's collar and start choking it , they soon let go ...

To prevent a dog attacking another would be near impossible as some dogs will be alright with some but not others ... It's the retards who know they have a aggressive dog but don't take precautions that do my head in

I personally wouldn't,I'm more concerned with getting reported for protecting my own dog!

apparently the one I kicked was in the vets for a couple of days, that will have cost a few quid,so in my mind we're even.

hopefully the disgusting fat human blob learned his lesson, because I've seen the dog since and that certainly hasn't.
