fell/russell/beagle/bull... . are some folk trying to reinvent the wheel.

doesn’t matter how thick the cover is ?

I often wondered about that,  how a teckel would compare to a terrier in general. I know it can be hard to compare. 

What qualities do you think they have that make them better than the terriers?

There nose no doubt at all and they work cover better 

mine will find where the terriers have left the cover

Id like to have a day with ya If ya ever down my way got some good rabbit and muntjac bushing heard good things about the teckels but i seen a few terriers that would take some beating for killing in cover

Wouldn't say they were good at killing in cover from my experience but better shift stuff from cover

That was my thinking mate. Not saying they haven’t got the guts to hold on and give something a bit of stick. Sure they be fine on rabbits but how would they be on anything bigger? I’d love to see a pack of these working cover. Great sport

Depends on the individual dog tbh like any just from my experience terriers catch more in cover than the teckles as they are very vocal, there are good little dogs for tight cover but they struggle to even walk on a fell and wooden areas they also struggle in due to how small in the leg they are and they do tend to tire out first on a days hunting aswell and I'm talking about middle of the season as fit as a fiddle
