Nuice video willow. I can 't seem to get that bit on camera!

Mine only yip when they are tight behind a rabbit. You have to gauge it on the speed of the noise they make through cover.

My last terrier was the same but as you say you can usually tell there on something because of the speed and racket they make, now and again you could hear a faint whine when she was right behind one in cover... when the rabbit broke cover and ran across the field she would follow full pelt nose to the ground. atb daywalker.

Your'e right about some red dogs looking like fox's... the one i have now is red but she has a black nose and black running through some of her coat esp the tail and iv'e lost count the amount of time's i have mistaken her for a fox, its a good job she isn't shot over. atb daywalker.

Ive worked many a red terrier at bushing, ive had lads raise guns to them, they never accompanied me again,if a gun cannot distinguish between a red terrier, often with a docked tail,or a much larger animal with a long bushy extremity, they should,nt be in charge of a dangerous weapon, accidents happen and something crashing through cover may make for a twitchy finger, thats why its imperative to educate the guns at times. The only time ive ever been confused was at distance,at such distances a shotgun never should be raised.
