Have them in the garden, see em going up and down a sunny border that’s backed by a wall. Put the mower over one last weekend and as it seemed ok I popped in under a bit of mat on the border. It's now got a couple taken residence under it, an unusual flower border with a black foot well mat with resident slow worms.

Yes iv seen them under mats and bits of wood also on top getting warmed up in the sun and that's very true darcy

legless lizard, there are loads on Anglesey my eldest use to collect them when he stayed with my old man in the summer holidays

I had one when I was about 12 but I let it back into the wild it was unfair on it really but yano when your young nobody can tell you different lol

Yes paulus we have aswell they always hang around our local ponds we also have adders too I picked a grass snake up other day to show my little brother should of took a pic really when we was out I also saw an adder but didn't dare pick that up tbh lol nearly stepped on it and it wasn't botherd by us it just stayed there lying in the sun lol

Never seen a snake or slow worm in the wild, would love to one day. Is there many in Yorkshire?

Love slow worms there young are specially good looking are they the only lizard in Britain ? As I remember when I was younger seeing these tiny lizards with full sized legs Far too quick for us to catch.

There are 3 lizards native to the UK, the Slow worm, Sand lizard and the Common vivaparous lizard. there are a couple of others from abroad that have feral populations as well, Wall and green lizards.
