Leave her off 'til august, then I'm sure she'll be ok.

It's nothing to do with strike mate. It's nothing physical at all. It's in her head. When she matures she'll be fine.

yeh there all individual 1st, some start quicker than others.is just missing meaning all legs all over the place lol, or not striking ? either way leave it bit longer till more mature. both my last 2 dogs have been catching from about same age as yours , but both didn't have a prob with it, otherwise I would have held them back bit longer

but I'd say wait and she and i'm pretty sure you'l be surprised ,there are methods and techniques to move things on but without see and knowing the pup you could mess it up with bad advice.

At that age many pups do not have the physicality to run, turn and catch at speed, ive seen the most mentally immature mutt run, twist and turn and catch a fleeing bunny, they do it as fun with little regard to reason and maturity.Until some dogs grow into their frame, they are not ready to adapt to what their eyes and brain allow their physicality to do. when the eye, brain and feet coordination kicks in,so will the catches.

Try useing a flirt pole, it can help develop the turning and strike, you can make your own useing a lunge whip and a lightweight soft toy, if you do make one try not to over do it as it can be physically demanding on a young dog.
