Drag Lure

Think of making a hand lure I don't want one of them battery ones. Anyone know what the gearboxes are off. Something similar to this pic

I want to make one so googled it. Apparently you all you need is a 1960 ford starter motor as it has a longer pin also a solanoid and a car battery. Will drag a lure at 35 mph or more. I just don't have the technical ability to construct it!

I just brought one off ebay,£30. Mini starter motor,fantastic bit of kit,now i got it looks really easy to make,battery,solenoid,motor,on the motor is a big pin that spins,attach drum spool to hold line,i get some pics up later

I might be wrong but it looks a like its made from a old hand grinder the stone has been took off and line holder put on some lads also use them to spin snares Danielm7353.

We had a lure years ago it was made from an old bike turned upside down the front forks were cut off so you could stand on the handle bars and paddle it with your hands, the back tyre was removed and we made metal lugs for the rim to keep the lind on it worked well.
